このたびAaP/roidworksgalleryでは斉木駿介・沼田侑香・本岡景太の3人のアーティストによる展覧会『幽体離脱の風景』を開催致します。

AaP/roidworksgallery is pleased to present the exhibition “Landscapes of Astral Projection” featuring three artists: Shunsuke Saiki, Yuka Numata, and Keita Motooka.

現代のネットやSNSに溢れる情報とそれらが持つ危険性を絵画で表現する斉木駿介、アイロンビーズでデジタルとアナログが交差する時代を記録する沼田侑香、樹脂を染み込ませた紙を使って理想的な造形を追求する本岡景太。
使用する素材も表現方法も違う3人のアーティスト達が、それぞれの異なる感性を携えながらも、互いを尊重しつつ共鳴し合う世界を創りました。

皆様の脳裏にその現実とも非現実とも言えない、静謐にして鮮烈な風景を重ねて頂けましたら幸いです。

Shunsuke Saiki expresses, through painting, the dangers and overflow of information present in today’s internet and social media. Yuka Numata documents this era where the digital and analog intersect, using iron beads as her medium. Keita Motooka pursues ideal forms using paper impregnated with resin.
Although each artist employs different materials and methods, bringing their unique sensibilities, they have created a world that resonates in harmony while respecting one another.

We hope you will superimpose these tranquil yet vivid landscapes－real and unreal－upon your own minds.

『幽体離脱の風景』ステートメント

夢を見ている最中私はどこにいるといえるのか。部屋のベットの上なのか。はたまた夢で見ている精神世界にいると言えるのか。
そんな夢とも現実とも呼べない状態は昼間にも起こっている。
スマートフォンを通してゲームやSNS、動画の世界に没入し降りなければならない駅を通過してしまう事もしばしばである。
その瞬間私はどこにいると言えるのか。
電車の中なのか、あるいは思考が身体を離れ、もっと遠く場所も時間軸すらも異なる世界を漂っているのか。

3人の扱う作品のメディアは様々だがその作品たちは重力から解放され、時にその造形は歪み、現実と非現実、時間、場所の境界を絶えず行き来する。
作品の鑑賞を通して白日の幽体離脱をぜひ体感して頂きたいと思います。

“Landscapes of Astral Projection” Exhibition Statement

Where am I when I am dreaming? Am I lying on my bed, or am I present in the mental world seen within the dream?
This state－neither fully dream nor reality－can occur even in broad daylight.
For example, while riding the train, I might become so absorbed in games, social media, or videos on my smartphone that I pass right by my intended stop.
In that moment, where can I say I am?
Am I physically on the train, or has my consciousness drifted away from my body, floating in a completely different world－one with its own time and place?

Though the media used by these three artists differ, their works seem released from gravity; their forms may warp and distort, continually moving between reality and unreality, time and space.
We hope that through experiencing these works, you too can feel what it’s like to slip into a kind of astral projection in broad daylight.
